To our knowledge there is no other device that teaches our inexperienced drivers how to most efficiently apply the brakes of their vehicle in a simulated emergency situation

Private training sessions
A training session will involve the student driver and an instructor
The instructor can be a parent or any other licenced driver
The driver and instructor will select a quiet section of road and check for any traffic in either direction. Once the road is considered safe the driver under instructions from the the instructor will begin the test run at a preset speed, once the preset speed is reached and audible alarm will sound and the driver will react to that audible signal and apply the brakes as efficiently as they feel necessary
Experience tells us that the first run is quite a shock to some drivers as to how the car reacts and sounds
Invariably consecutive runs are significantly better
It is important to note that while the test run is in progress All road rules still apply and any accidents caused by the driver will be treated under normal road rules
Training a driver on public roads is a legal and acceptable process
However testing a vehicles brakes is Not legal on public roads without a permit

The most important safety feature on a motor vehicle is its brakes and it is these brakes and how they are used that is the subject of our SkidzOn product
Until now no one has focused on how to privately train and effectively test any driver on how to most efficiently react and apply the brakes in an emergency situation
Statistics suggest that drivers will vary in their braking reaction time from a fraction of a second to some who will freeze and won't get the brakes on at all
And reaction time is only one facet of emergency braking efficiency
You only have to look at the evening news to see a vehicle that has lost control, passed over the median strip through a fence and into a house. apparently the only thing stopping it was the house Not the vehicles brakes
So training is essential and the SkidzOn device is an affordable and portable device that can be used in the drivers personal vehicle in their own time and situation and as regularly as necessary
All results can easily be posted to this website where they can be ranked to a standard
This is an important point as most vehicles will vary considerably in how they react to a sudden and forceful brake application
And it is this performance variability that so desperately needs to be understood and appreciated by the driver
With the advent of some vehicles autonomous braking systems we believe that this will highlight the poor performance of many drivers in this respect
